It is easy to believe that there is nothing we can do to help those affected by genocide and war. It is also easy to think that once the fighting stops, so too does the hardship. As this blog and CARE's experience shows, none of the above are true. <br /><br />After 20 years, it is clear that the hardship for the people of Bosnia is far from over. Our rate of unemployment (though relatively high on our own terms) is currently at about 8.3% (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-15747103) - we call that an economy in crisis; a broken society.
